The company says the new abilities will be available for Office 365 subscription customers across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Among the new features is Real-time co-authoring and AutoSave for OneDrive and SharePoint files. Microsoft has also introduced a Share menu that make sharing content across OneDrive for Business easier:

Microsoft is not only focusing on Office 365 subscribers, but is also sending features to Office 2016 for Mac. For example, the company has improved Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Office 2016 for Mac is also getting some new objects and methods from the Windows Office versions. Microsoft is increasingly bringing the Mac and Windows Office versions closer together. However, it is worth noting that Windows is still further ahead in terms of overall features and abilities. For the record, this release brings Office Fast Ring Insiders on Mac to build 16.6 (171001).
