The company did not list the 20 regions gaining the hardware. However, the expansion follows the availability of the Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, and Surface Studio 2 in Asia. That launch cycle included China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. The devices launched in Europe and North America in October. As for the Surface Headphones, Microsoft says the accessory will launch in Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, and Switzerland next month. The headphones originally launched in November, but only in the UK and US. In its announcement of extended availability, Microsoft says customers are to thank for the success of Surface hardware: “Nothing inspires our teams more than seeing the incredible things our customers do with our products. With Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, Surface Studio 2 and Surface Headphones becoming available to more customers around the world, we can’t wait to see the amazing things they do.” The company also discussed the excellent start of the year for Surface devices. As well as expansion in Asia last month, Microsoft recently announced the division continues to thrive and grow revenue. Surface revenue grew 39% year-on-year between Microsoft’s fiscal Q2 2019 and Q2 2018.
